YEAR 10 · TERM 1 · 25 HOURS

Product launch studio

Produce a 30–45 second launch animation for an original fictional product, with a modelled object, textured materials, three shots, synchronised sound, campaign graphics and an 8–10 page folio.

Affinity

Designer campaign identity; Photo original texture maps; Publisher 8–10 page production folio.

Blender

Model with modifiers, UV unwrap, texture, light and animate three product shots.

Adobe

After Effects callout compositing; Premiere Pro paced edit; Audition layered launch soundscape.

Marking standard guide

Outstanding: controlled production and perceptive decisions. High: effective work and reasoned improvements. Sound: functional work and an appropriate explanation. Basic: partial production and limited justification. Limited: fragmented work with little usable process evidence. These are quality descriptions, not fixed percentage bands. See the notification for the full rubric.

YOUR PROJECT FILES

Start with a clear plan

The kit contains the brief, storyboard, production planner, asset register, test log and folio writing scaffold.

Folio and starter files

Folio writing scaffold

Build the native folio in Publisher using master pages and styles. The included scaffold provides the writing structure; a native .afpub teacher template remains a planned asset.

Interactive HTML starter for exhibition, campaign and capstone projects.

Support and challenge

Starting check: Compare two renders and ask which explains function. Observe a transform/material task before deciding who needs a modifier demonstration.

Need a scaffold? Use a low-poly base mesh, material examples and camera markers; maintain student decisions about form, communication and testing.

Ready to extend? Maintain perceived quality while reducing measured render time by a chosen target; justify evidence and compromises.

Ask your teacher about captions, visual instructions, accessible equipment or supervised software access. Safety and ethical production apply throughout.
